The fault in our stars.. (John Green..) Book review..
- THE FAULT IN OUR STARS..
- How do you fall in love stay in love with a story? Forever? You begin to imagine things like everything’s happening in front of your eyes not in the back of your head.. The feeling where you aren’t reading anymore but you have become a part of someone’s journey.. They are travelling, you are travelling along.. As the characters get smitten with each other, you get smitten with them too..
There will come a time when all of us are dead.. All of us.. There will come a time when there are no human beings remaining to remember that anyone ever existed or that our species ever did anything.. There will be no one left to remember Aristotle or Cleopatra, let alone you. Everything that we did and built and wrote and thought and discovered will be forgotten and all of this will have been for naught.. Maybe that time is coming soon and maybe it is millions of years away, but even if we survive the collapse of our sun, we will not survive forever.. There was time before organisms experienced consciousness, and there will be time after. And if the inevitability of human oblivion worries you, I encourage you to ignore it. God knows that’s what everyone else does..” — John Green, The Fault in Our Stars
“𝐋𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐦𝐲 𝐬𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐡 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫” among the 90,000 words that capitulates our emotions and unravels the true meaning of compassion..
The fault in our stars, a breathtaking tale where two people talk of metaphors, infinities, oblivion, reverence and love each other amidst the vulnerabilities that comes with it..
A book where Augustus tends to live fully and Hazel wants to fulfill that short term of life with everything she can.. When she says ‘ “𝐈 𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐞𝐱𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞 𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐚 𝟗 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐬 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐛𝐞 𝐚 𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝟏𝟎..” This is nothing but adoration that has hidden pain beneath.. “𝐈’𝐦 𝐢𝐧 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐲𝐨𝐮, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈’𝐦 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐲𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐬𝐚𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬..” Just tell me how to not love a character so much? And if it’s Augustus Waters, there’s no denial of infatuation that I have for his witty talks..
They say “ when the heart melts, intellect is withdrawn”.. I don’t believe it when I see Hazel and Augustus because intellect is living in the moment knowing you don’t have a forever, knowing that the stars might not be in your favor for a long time but for a small amount of time, it is.. That’s what is necessary to make uncountable memories that never ends even when one person goes away in between..
There will come a time when all of us are dead. All of us. There will come a time when there are no human beings remaining to remember that anyone ever existed or that our species ever did anything. There will be no one left to remember Aristotle or Cleopatra, let alone you. John Green’s The Fault in Our Stars is a heartbreaking yet brilliant book.. The author manages to make you laugh, smile and cry throughout the entire story..
Green wrote this novel in a clever way, as he heavily relied on positive language that made it a light, touching, and entertaining read all at once.. It’s one of those books that you can’t put back on the shelf and insist on finishing in one day.. And although considered a young-adult fiction..
Like Hazel was crazy for ‘An Imperial Affliction’ , trust me I am the same for this one.. I can go on and on for the love I have for this book.. This book is my ‘ALWAYS’.. Even when it’s finished, I am stupid enough who hopes to know what happens after the last chapter..
John Green is just love..♥️
